Quality Manager 每 Far East, Shenzhen
This is for a North American company specialized in household and gift items designing and marketing.
Responsibilities
Process Development - Work with vendors and company*s manufacturing site to improve existing manufacturing processes, or create new processes.
Design Evaluation - Evaluate product designs and recommend possible alternatives in design features (including substitute materials) to improve manufacturability and/or decrease costs.
Vendor Assessment 每 Participate in qualifying potential new vendors and/or processes.
Work-In-Process Inspection 每 Ensure Quality staff and agents perform WIP inspections including production process audits and corrective action planning.
Vendor Quality Development 每 Develop and conduct training for vendors and agents on developing quality systems, standards, procedures and audits.
Measurement 每 Develop vendor ratings, and key result area (KRA) benchmark measurements.Set goals for improvement based on these KRA*s.
Reporting 每 Ensure consistent reporting to stakeholders in Far East and North America regarding quality issues.
Training 每 Ensure Quality staff, and other agents are trained in QC procedures and company*s Quality standards (measured and aesthetic).
Escalation 每 Hands-on involvement (including on-site investigation and monitoring) in priority quality control issue resolution and communication.
Requirements
- Have at least five-year*s relative experience in managerial level working for trading/sourcing companies or third party quality inspection companies.
- Have a well round understanding of the testing method for household related products.
- Have a ※design eye§ to make subjective decisions on the ※look and appearance§ of the products where they need to have a certain type of finish or appearance that is not measurable by instrumentation.
- Possess strong sense of the North American retailing market.
- Can work well with people from different cultural background.
- Take ownership. Have proven successful employment record.
- Excellent people skills. Self disciplined.
- Must be fluent in English and Mandarin.
Asian Sales Manager
This position is based at our Kowloon, HK office, frequent travel to our Shenzhen office is required,
Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing all sales channels from Distributors to Key Account chains to Independent stores.
- Responsible for hiring and managing a team of Sales Representatives.
- Responsible for managing existing Distributor relationships.
- Required to attend tradeshows within territory.
- Experience in PRC sales with higher end stores/chains.
- Must be able to manage other distributors (Japan, Singapore, Australia).
- Should have at least three years of Sales experience, with at least one year in a Sales Management role.
- Previous experience with Key Accounts.
- Knowledge of the giftware/houseware retail industry an asset.
- Travel throughout Asia required..
Packaging Engineer 每 Pingshan, Shenzhen
Responsibilities
- Report to the Factory Manager.
- Responsible for packaging design according to the nature of different products and the brand.
- Ensure the package designs are protected, can pass drop test, and be consistent with the brand.
- Work closely with material department on vendor selection and order follow up.
- Work closely with production team to ensure proper work instructions for assembly employees.
- Travel to the vendors whenever necessary.
Requirements
- Education with major in packaging engineer.
- Minimum three years experience in packaging designing in either packaging companies, sourcing offices, or FMCG industries carrying the similar job responsibilities.
- Familiar with different packaging materials such as corrugated paper, vinyl, PVC, etc.
- Skillful in using CAD or other packaging designing software.
- CET4 or above. Can communicate well in English.
Merchandiser 每 Lighting, Shenzhen or Shanghai
Responsibilities
- Handle lighting business.
- closely with designers and quality team to understand the product specifications and source valuable suppliers.
- Follow up sample and quotation, shortlist suppliers.
- Place orders with the qualified suppliers and follow up tightly on the quality and production progress.
- Solve problems and make sure on time delivery.
Requirements
- Have experience working in lighting manufacturing environment is definitely a plus.
- Have mechanical engineering education background
- At least 3 years lighting merchandising experience.
- Excellent English and computer skills.
- Aggressive. Can work under high pressure.
- Familiar with OEM project handling.
Procurement Developer 每 Furniture, Qingdao or Shenzhen
Responsibilities
- Follow up orders (deliveries 每 quality 每 participating in the development of his/her role)
- inform suppliers / manufacturers of company*s requirements, seek potential suppliers, in accordance to the Business Map, creating and developing the business relationship with them.
- Create with the supplier, favorable conditions for product development
- Negotiate and constantly improving terms with suppliers / manufacturers
- motivate the suppliers to take part in bidding.
- Analyze the performance of the different actors (suppliers)
- Ensure, in co-operation with specialists within the office, that procedures relating to product quality and delivery are followed
- Prepare the supplier strategy in co-operation with Management in the Rep. Office
Requirements
- At least 3 years solid experience in wood furniture sourcing in either North or South China.
- Good product knowledge.
- Education in wood procession or engineering is preferred.
- Good English communication skills and good at reporting.
- Work independently.
Compliance&Personnel Manager
This position is for a Canadian giftware provider with its assembly plant in Pingshan of Shenzhen.
Responsibilities
- Report to General Manager, an American, and manage a team of 4.
- Modify the existing personnel and EHS policies and procedures to ensure it complies with government regulations and major clients* (Wal-Mart) auditing requirements.
- Implement ISO14000.
- Set up and maintain perfect documentation system for all employment contract, leave and attendance record, overtime, compensation and benefits, safety and fire fighting, etc. to satisfy internal and external auditing.
- Manage administrative issues such as catering, dormitory and transportation.
- Develop Employee Relationships programs and assist Line Managers to build effective teams. Solve staff conflicts.
- Assist Line Managers for staff hiring and termination.
- Provide suggestions to Line Managers on staff retention and motivation.
- Be an ear and eye to the General Manager and provide constructive suggestions for company operation and staff management.
Requirements
- Hands on with social compliances requirements (SA8000) and ISO14000 execution, experience in handling Wal-Mart social compliance auditing is preferred.
- Expert in local labor law and EHS requirements.
- Solid experience with administration and personnel management in a manufacturing environment.
- Mature in people management and conflicts solving.
- Express well in English. Approachable and aggressive, result-oriented.
- Willing to be based in Pingshan.
Finance Manager
This position is for a Canadian giftware provider with its assembly plant in Pingshan of Shenzhen.
Responsibilities
- Report to the General Manager, an American, and functionally report to the Assistant Finance Controller in Canada.
- Manage finance and customs team, with 8 staff in total.
- Manage costing, G/L, Account Payable, taxation, and custom clearance.
- Prepare Monthly Financial Statements in ERP system
- Monitor Actual Results against Budget, with Variance Explanations
- Complete Monthly Reporting Package to Corporate Finance
- Ensure vendor invoices are reconciled into the ERP system
- Resolve receiving and pricing errors with Logistics and Purchasing personnel
- Completion of bank reconciliations for review by Corporate Finance
- Ensuring compliance with government requirements
- Timely filing of tax information and remittances
- Oversight of payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely disbursements to employees
Requirements
- Tertiary education majoring in finance, accounting or economics, with solid experience in manufacturing Finance and Customs management.
